Working in remote locations
Field staff
As QBuild’s service provision extends across the entire state of Queensland, some field employees may have the opportunity to work in locations that are deemed by QBuild as remote areas. Some examples of remote areas include:
- Lockhart River
- Torres Strait Islands and Villages
- Birdsville
- Urandangie
- Palm Island
Field employees who work in remote locations, in addition to regular wages, are entitled to receive a Country Allowance and a Remote Area Work Allowance.
QBuild teams working in remote areas are effectively resourced to carry out their assignments and are provided with appropriate work tools, first aid equipment, training, and communication devices.
